It's about 1:30 a.m. here in Vienna and the fireworks around my place stopped about half an hour ago. I celebrated 2008 with my boyfriend and my grandmother. That's a clear advancement compared to last year when I celebrated on my own.
I'm not in the mood to celebrate. Thinking of it, I'm never in the mood to celebrate. I'm that kind of person who spends a party sitting in the kitchen. I don't know why I can't have fun. It really starts to get to me. I tried to get myself drunk tonight but I got sick and stopped drinking shortly before throwing up. I'm totally out of practice.
My boyfriend's already snoring gently on the couch (poor guy has to work tomorrow) but I don't see any point in going to bed. It takes me hours to fall asleep so I might as well just stay up all night. I'm going to sleep tomorrow, or rather: this afternoon. I tidied the place up, turned off the lights and... well, I think I'll spend my night playing WoW.
So. The resolving thing. I usually don't resolve anything because I won't stick to it anyway. But I'll give it a try this year. Right. I resolve to stop reading newspapers, stop watching the news, start smoking, drink more and kick more asses. Oh, and lose weight.
